Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

 

Immediate opening for an innovative, team-oriented Quality Assurance/ Tester. The ideal candidate will have experience with industry standard QA tools. This Software Test Engineer will have experience automating tests and creating, executing and analyzing performance tests. The Software Test associate will interact with his or her supervisor as needed, but many activities will require independent thought and decision making.

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Oversee testing of software applications required for Joint Technical Data Integration Group,
  • Key orchestrator for the development of processes and procedures for ISO 9001 and CMMI that advances QA requirements and applications,
  • Create test plans, manages, plans, constructs, and executes tests and integrates with release control process.
  • Develops relevant and appropriate test data,
  • Documents conclusions/recommendations, & verifies that results support conclusions/recommendations.
  • Perform System Compliance Audits as required, Perform System Process Analysis and make recommendations to management,
  • Deliver services consistent with established standard of quality,
  • Anticipates and resolves issues specific to the team.
  • Determines time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • BS degree in Computer Science and/or demonstration of equivalent experience is required

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Must have the basic testing skills and good experience in automated and manual testing tools.
  • Should possess experience in database concepts and defect tracking tools
  • Should have good analytical and problem solving capability using the modern testing methodologies SDLC etc.
  • Must have the capacity to understand the QA processes and work in the software environment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical aptitude
  • Excellent troubleshooting skillsAbility to systematically analyze new and/or existing software functionality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact cohesively in a team environment
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret a variety of internal and external documentation
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with time-sensitive deadlines
