Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

 

DMI is seeking a full-time Test Engineer with an ACTIVE TOP SECRET Clearance for a project with the US Army located in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

 

The Test Engineer will provide direction for the successful completion of development test programs to ensure compliance to contractual test requirements through development and support of processes, plans and procedures. Test Engineer will facilitate Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as part of the SDLC and SWIT and prior to deploying any code into the production environment.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:   

The database manager/administrator must hold an ACTIVE TOP SECRET Clearance and should have experience in the following management and technical areas:

  • Generate test plans, procedures, and work instructions from customer requirements
  • Experience in applying penetration testing concepts to pre-production releases and identification of application vulnerabilities as it applies to potential internal and external threats.
  • Experience testing in both Classified and Unclassified environments to include cross domain systems.
  • Setup and configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation as required by the test plans and or test standards.
  • Implement and deploy test fixtures, testing apparatus and machines and verify their appropriateness.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data results through thorough documentation processes.
  • Conducts regression testing, and creates the related test plan and report for each software release.
  • Conduct and/or supervise testing by Test Technicians and other Test Engineers.
  • Oversee several test project simultaneously and provide scheduling support to operations.
  • Write test reports and validate test methods.
  • Conducts readiness review upon entrance and exit of software releases to the testing environment.
  • Design test fixtures as required per customer requirements, test plan, and test standards.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and quality assurance concepts and guidelines for example, AGILE, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Institute of Electrical, and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Knowledge of DoD standard 5015.02, 1336.08, & 5105.63.
  • Knowledge of and eventual certification as AIIM Electronic Records Management Specialist and Practitioner.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard business software products (Microsoft Office, Outlook, CRM, Windows, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain excellence and accuracy in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Knowledge of network design and operations.
  • Knowledge of network security.
  • Knowledge of help desk support and operation.
  • Knowledge of networking and network-based software applications.

 

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or similar computer or engineering field, or equivalent experience and/or professional certification.
  • 5+ years in server hardware configuration, network configuration and troubleshooting, virtual server configuration.

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • ITIL v3
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred.
