Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) is looking for an Oracle 12c Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator to work with their DMI teammates and USAFA customers to develop and install a new Student Information System (SIS) at USAFA. Following implementation and acceptance, the emphasis will shift to operation and sustainment of the new SIS.

 

Utilizing diversified knowledge and business experience, provides direction to subordinate employees, administers performance standards, schedules tasks and resources and ensures all work is completed according to defined cost, schedule, scope and quality criteria.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate/work closely with Project Managers and other members of the SIS integration team to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Middleware/SOA and Identity & Access Management environments and deliverables that support multiple concurrent projects, enhancements and defect remediation
  • Serves as first line of responsibility to ensure Middleware/SOA and Identity & Access Management environments meet business and application requirements.
  • Ensures all Middleware/SOA and Identity & Access Management environments are compliant with business continuity, availability, licensing and software support policies
  • utilizing diversified knowledge and business experience, provides direction to subordinate employees, administers performance standards, schedules tasks and resources and ensures all work is completed according to defined cost, schedule, scope and quality criteria
  • Must ensure STIG compliance and be able to address applicable IAVMs within allotted timeframes
  • Must be able to install applicable Oracle CPUs within allotted timeframes
  • Must be able to implement, sustain, and monitor an automated audit log
  • Other tasks as needed for successful project completion

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • B.S. (M.S. preferred) in computer science or related field
  • 7 years' experience working with IT systems used in support of higher learning

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Able and willing to perform all of the duties and responsibilities described above
  • Excellent oral and written communication: Clear, concise, and professional
  • oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Infrastructure certification is required
  • CompTIA Security+, or equivalent, certification is required

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional/Manager (CISSP/M) certification is highly desired
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Cloud Services is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of DoD, Air Force and/or USAFA documentation and procedures is desired
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundation certification, or higher, is desired
  • Knowledge of, and/or certifications in, the Agile software development methodology is desired
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use, Atlassian Jira software is desired
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use, Microsoft SharePoint is desired
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use, OBIEE is desired
  • Knowledge of RMF and/or eMASS is desired
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with 508 compliance, SSN Reduction Act, PII, and/or HIPPA is also desired

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background check
