Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

 

Expansion of our Microsoft channel efforts, US wide, is critical to our growth plans and this position will be key to drive the success and roadmap for this channel. The Channel Executive Lead will be responsible for signing, maintaining, and expanding the MSFT relationships.   With the overall goal of driving incremental bookings for the company via MSFT partner-sourced and MSFT partner-influenced deals, the Channel Executive Lead will be expected to work in conjunction with the enterprise sales team, our pre-sales team to hit identified sales, relationship and solution priorities. The Channel Executive Lead will report to the Vice President of Solutions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Establish productive, growth-driven, professional relationships with key contacts and relationships with appropriate and influential Microsoft field and headquarter contacts
  • Coordinate and leverage those resources across our sales, solutions and delivery functions performance objectives.
  • Meet assigned targets for driving incremental sales growth in agreed-upon geographic locations, solutions and program objectives
  • Proactively lead a joint planning with appropriate senior management and management contacts at Microsoft, in order to develop and deliver mutual performance objectives
  • Responsible for keeping the Microsoft systems of record up to date with our division and DMI wide capabilities: certifications, customer projects, locations, and overall capabilities
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate current and future situation, opportunities and improvement areas.
  • Sell through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources.
  • Manage potential channel conflict by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to rules of engagement.
  • Manage all assigned partner agreements and ensures partner compliance with those agreements.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Relevant experience in establishing, managing and growing relationships with Microsoft
  • 8+ years of channel sales and direct sales experience in a complex technology solution-selling B2B sales environment
  • Strong work ethic with a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales quota
  • Demonstrated experience running channel programs that drive double-digit growth
  • Experience managing a sales cycle from business champion to the C-level
  • Sales hunting and customer expansion experience
  • Executive presence and excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Complex negotiation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
