Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

 

Candidate will serve as a member of upper level Help Desk support staff in providing friendly and knowledgeable support to employees.  Duties of candidate will include but not limited to, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues on Windows 10 and Mac OS, desktop hardware support and service, provide service and support to the various delivery teams, performing ticket documentation on assigned tickets, support IT system needs including server administration, and other internal IT-related issues. Works to help assist other support engineers and support staff in completing tasks within the specified SLAs.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Help Desk:
    • Work to respond to daily Help Desk requests with a remote team supporting employees on-site and remote.
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve IT problems on desktop equipment, including software and hardware.
    • Maintain a general working knowledge of all IT related systems including: the operating system, hardware and applications.
    • Provide assistance and IT training to newly hired staff
  • Desktop / Account Maintenance:
    • Install and schedule new PC and software deployments
    • Assist with patch management and hardware inventory
    • Create and maintain Active Directory user accounts
    • VOIP phone system account support
  • Application Management:
    • Assist in supporting the larger company systems maintenance; including server administration.
    • Provide project archiving and backup assistance
  • Special projects:
    • Provide assistance as needed on new software packages and industry specific applications

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Help Desk Support role
  • 4-yr College degree
  • Strong verbal communication skills to work with technical and non-technical staff
  • Technical understanding and troubleshooting of computer hardware - PC's, smartphones, printers, etc.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to support a Microsoft environment (Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, Windows 10, Office, Azure, etc.)
  • IT related certification is considered a plus

 

Physical Requirement(s):  Individuals must have the dexterity to perform basic office functions, operate office equipment such as computer, printer/copier, telephone and other office equipment.  Position mainly involves working at a desk and to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
