Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Your primary mission as the Employee Resources Consultant for DMI will be to partner with the Human Resources Manager and the Business Operations team to administer human resource policies and procedures to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives. This role will collect and analyze HR data and make recommendations to the management team. The Employee Resources Consultant is the face of the team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes paperwork for functional area(s) according to established procedures
  • Administers various human resources plans and programs, such as new hire orientation, training and development, and the performance management process
  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees
  • Handles employee relations investigations and counseling. Implements employee retention initiatives
  • Collaborate in the creation of organizational development strategies focusing on leadership, team building and employee engagement. As well as serve as project point person on specific segments of employee engagement and communications programs, including contests, monthly calendars, newsletters, etc.
  • Measure impact of engagement programs against core performance metrics
  • Work collaboratively with HR to design and deploy engagement surveys, focus groups and organizational assessments
  • Establish and drive employee feedback and communication through multiple channels to strengthen connections
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations as well as compelling content to publicize and gain support for programs
  • Coordinate employee events and activities, including holiday parties, summer outings and senior leader connections, etc.
  • Conducts exit interviews to collect data

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience

 

Required Skills/Certifications:

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in presenting

·       Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations

·       Experience in developing, implementing and coordinating human resource programs
