Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Digital Management, LLC (DMI) is looking for an experience Senior IT Security Specialist to support a client in Arlington, VA. The Senior IT Security Specialist provides subject matter expertise and services regarding complex or specialized matters related to vendor risk.

  

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Information Technology Specialist is responsible to identify and address risk in outsourced service providers. The Senior Information Technology Specialist will review security plans and assessment results and perform appropriate analysis. The VRM Senior IT Security Specialist will compile assessment data, draft appropriate documentation, gain approval when necessary and route for signature. The Senior IT Security Specialist must be able to independently initiate and complete all aspects of a technical assessment of an outsourced service provider, interacting with the service provider and the program area, handling complex issues and escalating reradiation recommendations when necessary. This will require knowledge of information security at the program level including policy development, compliance inspection, audit results and reviewing reports.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

(Minimum Qualifications)

  • Five (5) years of experience conducting security and compliance assessments; as well as a full understanding of NIST 800-53, and the Certification and Accreditation process, and familiarity with Privacy Impact Assessments.
  • An advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline may be considered equivalent to two (2) years of relevant information security experience.

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Current comprehensive knowledge of IT controls, security and privacy related regulations, guidance and processes to include, but not limited to FISMA, NIST, OMB, and GAO. 
  • Security tool usage experience (e.g. Nessus/Tenable, Splunk, Trustwave or equivalent) Experience working with and knowledge of Federal mandates and NIST guidance.
  • Has obtained a DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III certification (i.e., GLSC, CISM, or CISSP (or Associate).

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • CASP, CISSP
