    About the Opportunity:

    DMI is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support FBI digital forensics documentation.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Planning, researching, outlining and writing of end-user documentation including, but not limited to all user manuals, technical manuals/documents, directives, policies, software and infrastructure documentation
    • Conduct research by interviewing subject matter experts, reviewing existing documentation and by gleaning information from the system or product being documented.
    • Develop and update documentation templates and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Education and Years of Experience: 

    • Bachelor's Degree.
    • Minimum/General Experience: four (4) years of experience as a technical writer.

    Required Skills/Certifications:

     A minimum of two (2) years of recent and relevant working experience is required in the following areas:

    • Planning, researching, outlining and writing of end-user documentation including, but not limited to all user manuals, technical manuals/documents, directives, policies, software and infrastructure documentation
    • Conduct research by interviewing subject matter experts, reviewing existing documentation and by gleaning information from the system or product being documented.
    • Develop and update documentation templates and procedures.

    Desired Skills/Certifications:

    • Excellent writing skills.
    • Efficiency in reviewing and editing technical documents. 
    • Knowledge in various web based applications and various computer languages.
