About the Opportunity

DMI is currently seeking an experienced professional to fill a Financial Analyst position for a large government contract. Individual will prepare invoices, analyze ETC and EAC, prepare monthly financial analysis, financial spreadsheets and reports.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect monthly labor utilization and ODCs information from Task Orders Managers to prepare the financial forecasts
  • Obtain monthly technical narratives from Task Order Managers and Technical Centers of Excellence to incorporate into the monthly invoice/533 reports
  • Assist in reviewing and preparing Monthly and Quarterly Contractor Financial Management invoice/533 reports and ensure timely submission
  • Update forecasts using labor utilization and monthly vacation schedule for monthly revenue analysis
  • Interpret and analyze ETC and EAC and prepare monthly financial analysis (actual vs. budget variances) and financial spreadsheets
  • Provide financial analysis support to Task Order Managers with pricing of customer requests
  • Process task orders award fee for evaluation period and reconcile any variance with accounting records
  • Analyze and keep track of task order funding expiration date based on current burn rate and ETC
  • Prepare Staffing/Work Year Equivalent Report for customer
  • Prepare At-Risk Memorandums
  • Assist and work closely with corporate accounting team and corporate FA group on any audit requests, timesheet floor check questions from DCAA auditor, any monthly closing and actuals vs. forecast analysis
  • Assist with preparing financials for monthly contract status review
  • Provide ad hoc financial reports to Program Manager
  • Follow-up with corporate accounting on vendor payment inquiries
  • Review travel expense reports in compliance with GSA policy and regulations
  • Track/Initiate Subcontractor funding
  • Work closely with corporate accounting team to ensure revenue and costs are recorded properly

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis.

Required Skills/Certifications: 

  • Experience with Costpoint and Deltek required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail - ability to produce financial reports with minimal errors
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust (clearance)

Desired Skills/Certifications: 

  •  Experience in federal contracts preferred

  • Knowledge of Cognos and TM1 a plus

  • Experience inputting WBS and actuals into PPM a plus
