    About the Opportunity

    DMI is seeking a full time Quality Assurance Auditor to support one of its government clients in West Virginia. 

     

    The QA Auditor will perform auditing activities to add value through process changes, internal controls, mitigation of risks, and improving various operating efficiencies. He/She will evaluate process conformity, process outcomes, and process suitability for purpose. Execute physical and functional configuration audits (PCAs and FCAs) focused on enhancements or other modifications to system baselines. Initiates and/or contribute to formal risk management, preventive or corrective action to address causes contributing to emergent or recurring process weaknesses contributing to product defects. Initiates and/or facilitates process improvement initiatives to mitigate weakness or to pursue improvements. Maintains process insights and proficiencies needed to offer guidance based on authoritative, applicable standards, process and procedures. Understand and explains any security controls and suggests changes and improvements.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:.

    • Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements
    • Participate in quality audits
    • Identify processes, situations, etc. where organization is not meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement
    • Assist audit team in developing audit and audit plans; present audit reports to top management, as needed
    • Assist with follow-up audits, as required
    • May be required to develop internal auditing parameters
    • Participate in process improvement functions by performing root cause analysis to identify gaps, risks, and recommendations
    • Develop and communicate risk activities in support of the Audit Risk Management SOP
    • Prepare written reports to communicate audit results and summarize the findings
    • Inspect and evaluate financial and information systems, management procedures and security controls
    • Evaluate efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of operation processes with corporate security policies and related government regulations
    • Accurately interpret audit results against defined criteria
    • Work with management to ensure security recommendations comply with company procedures
    • Collaborate with departments to improve security compliance, management risk and bolster effectiveness

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    • AA/AS (or industry standard certification) AND 4 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelors or Masters degree AND 2 years of relevant experience

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • 3-6 years of experience in general IT
    • Ability to multi-task with good organizational skills in order to meet deliverables
    • Experience with risk management, data mining, and metric design
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical, organizations, and problem solving abilities are a must
    • Must have solid experience with auditing tools (e.g. control charts, Ishikawa diagrams)
    • Need exceptional listening and presentation skills
    • Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization
    • Must be able to work independently and as a part of a diverse team of auditors

    Beneficial Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
    • Understanding of contemporary auditing terminology
    • Self-motivation and ability to focus on intricate tasks is very desirable
    • Familiarity with ISO 9000 (series) quality management standards and Six Sigma body of knowledge is highly beneficial
