    About the Opportunity

    DMI is looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in JIRA to work with a team of engineers responsible for the development, expansion and enhancement of tools and techniques to support cyber analysis and information sharing. Work will be in support of and performed at DISA HQ in Ft. Meade Md.  


    The Contractor shall develop and deliver, through sprints and in accordance with “Agile” development processes, software capabilities to address government-prioritized requirements.


    Provide requirements, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment in support JIRA based Incident Management solution which includes task management, workflow, visual reporting, reporting, and query functions. Solutions must comply with appropriate DoD-approved architectures, programs, standards, and guidelines, such as Defense Information Infrastructure (DII), Strategic Technical Guidance, DII COE, Defense Information Systems Network, and Shared Data Environment. Classified and unclassified systems require C&A. Section 508 Accessibility Standard(s) (Technical Standards and Functional Performance Criteria) are applicable to this acquisition.


    JIRA developer responsibilities include all aspects of systems development lifecycle supporting a RedHat OS and JIRA application platform. Candidate will leverage strong background in software development to build creative solutions to challenging problems using the following suite of technologies:

    Education and Years of Experience:  

    • 5 years application development experience with JIRA, STIX, Taxii, Twister, SmartBear.
    • 3-5 years experience working in a RedHat VMWare environment.
    • Experience with XML Gateways and Postgres Database.
    • Understanding of requirements gathering and prioritization process in an Agile environment.
    • Experience supporting DISA programs is a plus

    Required Skills/Certifications: 

    • Active DoD 8570 Compliance IAT Level II or III Certification at time of, or within 30 days of employment.
    • Active TOP SECRET clearance.
