    About the Opportunity

    Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) is seeking a full time Application Developer to support its defense customer in Montgomery, AL.

     

    The Software Developer and Quality Assurance Tester will support application maintenance, testing, and deployment. The candidate will be responsible for creating end-to-end test plans and strategies; executing test plans and managing all activities supporting test plans to ensure that all objectives are met. The test plan and or strategy should achieve all test objectives such as testing of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, interoperability, and compatibility with legacy- and / or external systems. The candidate will ensure tests are well defined, planned and executed. An acceptable candidate will ensure every phase and feature of the software solution is thoroughly tested and identify all issues before the solution is deployed into production. The candidate will create test cases and documentation updates based on new application functionality.

     

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform software troubleshooting and analysis of highly engineered complex systems
    • Perform troubleshooting at operating system, application level and network levels
    • Have proven experience in Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 or above rating software related projects
    • Designing, building, testing and consistently delivering high quality middleware developments that are on time, to budget and specification · Providing technical support and guidance to the System Administrators and Database Administrators
    • Providing task analysis and estimation as required
    • Keeping stakeholders informed with regard to progress toward development timescales
    • Producing technical documentation of a consistently high standard that is reflected in the successful delivery of developed software
    • Providing thought leadership in the design/construction of software applications to the organization architects
    • Facilitating effective team interaction
    • Continually review of software to make sure they are working and implemented effectively and proactively suggesting amendments and improvements
    • Identifying where processes and / or standards are required and helping to create and implement those processes (e.g. documentation standards / automated builds etc)
    • Providing data federation and/or data translation integration to other databases software as directed by the customer
    • Software Testing and Quality Assurance

     

    Qualifications

    Education and Years of Experience:  

    • BS Degree in Computer Science or technically equivalent with 5 plus years of experience.

    Required Skills/Certifications: 

    • Security + DODI 8750 IAT Level I
    • Window Servers OS (2008 and 2012)
    • IIS
    • SQL Server (2008 and 2012)

    Desired Skills/Certifications: 

    • .ASP
    • C#
    • Software Quality Assurance and Testing
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

     

    Physical Requirement(s): Ability to lift 30 pounds and walk short to medium distances
