    Several new roles within DMI International have been created for a professional Service Designer to be based in one of our offices in Barcelona, Amsterdam or London. The Service Designer is a highly communicative individual with a collaborative approach. The Service Designer is used to time pressured and complicated projects, working in multidisciplinary teams and feels comfortable navigating through multiple stakeholder groups. The candidate will have considerable experience from working with or within large complex organizations, with the challenges that brings. The right candidate is a good facilitator, presenter and storyteller.


    The candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where changing hats occurs on a regular basis. No working day will be the same for this individual, so the right candidate is flexible and excels in a dynamic environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Service design research with a focus on qualitative methods, collaborative approaches and development or adaption of methods for specific service design contexts.
    • Ability to decode and extract deep meaning from all the different data points and be able to clearly communicate these insights to the client and other team members.
    • Visualization, prototyping and user testing of service solutions in both early and late stages of development.
    • Business model development and creative work to challenge existing ways of service delivery.
    • Deciding which of the tools from the service design toolbox best fits the requirements and redesign them if needed.



    Required Skills/Certifications: 

    • 5 to 20 years’ experience in service related design
    • You have run and facilitated idea generation and co-creation sessions with a variety of stakeholders to help us tap into the creativity of our talented workforce and build a culture of innovation by building design skills and innovation capacity
    • You have a solid educational background in service design and design thinking to help us apply the appropriate discipline and structure to our work including a background in ethnography and user experience
    • You are eager to contribute on a number of levels from participating on projects led by other team members to leading projects
    • You are capable in developing and managing external design and prototyping partnerships as an extension of internal capabilities to connect us to innovation resources outside of our group: 
    • Advanced degree in Service Design
    • Degree in other social science such as Psychology, Sociology or Anthropology.
    • Experience within retail, manufacturing, finance, automotive, healthcare, travel & hospitality industries
    • Understanding of agile development best practices
