    About the Opportunity


    DMI is currently seeking to hire a ETIMS SOFTWARE/System Engineer to support one of our Air Force Programs in Dayton, Ohio.


    Provide System Engineering support test activities as well as level 2 and level 3 support for the Air Force's Electronic Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) to include the Electronic Technical Order Viewer and ETOOLs. Engineering activities include development and maintenance of system artifacts to include System Subsystem Specification and System Design Specifications. coding will be completed mainly in Java, SQL, with some C#. The core documents exist such that updates require interface with software developer to document proposed modifications. The engineer must be able to understand and communicate system operation, TO business processes and system requirements in order to guide development activities. System engineering include interface, integration, functional, performance, and test activities. The engineer will participate in Change Package, PDR and CDR events. The engineer must be able to document or review test cases ,if required. The engineer must be able to support customer driven ROT and UET test events as well as documenting results. In addition the engineer will support general sustainment activities and customer interaction on a daily basis.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provides functional knowledge of the application
    • Responds to user's questions/issues/problems
    • Supports Customer data calls and test activities
    • Assist with preparing engineering documentation
    • Provides support and coordinate activities with engineering organizations outside ETIMS team




    Education and Years of Experience:  

    • Minimum of a NAC
    • Bachelor's degree in Technical Area with 5 years directly related work experience or 8 years directly related work experience without a degree.
    • Experience with System Engineering Process

    Technical skills required:

    • Knowledge and understanding of system engineering artifacts
    • Experience with the System Engineering Process
    • Understanding of Interface Control Documentation
    • Knowledge of Web applications
    • Support of Web applications
    • Understanding of relational databases and SQL
    • Experience in technical document publication
    • Experience in user and product support functions
    • Able to document test cases against system requirements
    • Able to create and use test data

     Other specific skills required:

    • Strong Customer relationship management skills to include written and oral communication skills.
    • Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner to customers

    Desired Skills/Certifications: 

    • Experience TO business processe
    • Experience with IBM Rational
    • Experience with IT System Sustainment and Development
