    About the Opportunity

    DMI is seeking a full time DevOps Engineer to support customer in Michigan.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Strong Amazon Web Services experience.
    • Create cloud formation templates to build AWS services that support custom Java application.
    • Build whole stack ELBs to databases, and then move and launch our site at its new home.
    • Collaboratively work with software engineering to deploy and operate systems.
    • Help automate and streamline operations and processes.
    • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test and production environments
    • Automate provisioning and configuration management of environments using infrastructure-as-code techniques as much as possible
    • Continuous integrate and deploy (CI/CD) with automation to multiple environments
    • Lead or participate in after-action review sessions for production issues


    Education and Years of Experience:   

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 5 - 6 years of experience working as a DevOps engineer

    Preferred Experience: 

    • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
    • Strong scripting and automation skills: Linux and Windows shells, Python
    • Build and deployment tools: Jenkins, Kubernetes, and/or Bamboo, Chef, Puppet etc
    • Amazon AWS cloud infrastructure and services: IAM, S3, EC2, EBS, Route 53, Lambda, RDS, Elasticsearch, VPC
    • Databases: Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, MS-SQL, Oracle
    • Networking: Network topologies and common network protocols and services: DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP
    • Experience installing Cloudera distribution/Kafka
