    About the Opportunity

    DMI is currently seeking to hire an Asset Lifecycle Specialist for a DoD Federal Government customer. The IT Asset Management centrally manages IT assets for DMDC (Defense Manpower Data Center), ensuring accurate full-lifecycle tracking of hardware, software licensing, technical service contracts, and related consumables. The Asset Lifecycle Specialist will follow established processes to conduct functions related to receiving, shipping, database updates, and verification of IT assets.



    • Physically receive shipments delivered to the asset management dock per process
    • Create data base receipts for new purchases and asset transfers after verification of receipt
    • Maintain required component, emergency spare and consumable inventory levels
    • Coordinate the shipment of assets to designated sites and/or vendors as directed
    • Fulfill hardware requests submitted by internal IT departments
    • Update data base records as assets are deployed, moved, returned to stock or shipped
    • Conduct physical audits of assets in storage, specified data centers and office areas
    • Follow process to stage the secure disposal of assets
    • RMA management for outgoing/incoming assets in database repository
    • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned


    Education and Years of Experience:   

    • Any experience working in a medium to large size corporation (preferably a global or MNC) or government / military organizational environment, with cross functional experience and exposure providing service or support for IT infrastructure services using related ITSM processes.

    Required Skills/Certifications:     

    • Self-starter able to consistently follow established processes
    • Organized, excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and data entry
    • Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, and interposal skills
    • Able to work efficiently and cohesively within a team structure
