    Agile Coach

     

    What You Can Expect

     

    The Agile Coach will be able to perform implementations at scale and build teams that can effectively and efficiently delivery maximum value using Agile Practices.

     

    The Agile Coach is a champion for Agile adoption and continuous improvement. She/He is an expert in Lean/Agile practices, and is knowledgeable in product ownership and Agile engineering practices. Our coaches have evolved facilitation skills and are comfortable mentoring, training and coaching.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coaching individuals, teams, and organizations in ways of Agile
    • Drive adoption of Agile within and externally to DMI
    • Provide expert level guidance and feedback to clients and our staff concerning Agile competencies
    • Effectively write users stories and provide detailed guidance for product ownership
    • Uses facilitation and diplomacy to engage teams to continuously improve
    • Able to play multiple roles on an Agile team
    • Helps remove impediments
    • Effectively works with all levels within an organization from executive management, stakeholders, and the development teams to promote change and Agile adoption

    Qualifications

     Our Must Have List

    • Experience running multiple Agile Teams concurrently
    • Experience with implementing Agile at scale, preferably with a recognized framework such as LeSS, SAFe, DAD or Nexus
    • Experience functioning in multiple roles on an Agile Team
    • Ability to articulate real business value behind specific Agile Practices
    • Ability to provide training and mentoring to product owners to allow maximum value delivery for the business
    • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
    • At least 2 years of direct Scrum Master experience
    • Extensive understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
    • Extensive experience with removing impediments 
    • Understanding of Agile engineering practices

     Desired, but Not Required

    • Experience working with senior management and executives
    • Familiarity with toolsets such as TFS, Rally, JIRA, and VersionOne
    • Scrum Master Certification from a recognized organization such as ScrumAlliance, Scrum.org, or ICAgile
    • Agile Coach certification from ScrumAlliance, Scrum.org, or ICAgile
    • Experience working in a consulting firm
    • Experience with software architecture and SOA services implementation
