    About the Opportunity

    The DMI Omni-channel Commerce group provides solutions for the most complex Oracle Commerce implementations through custom software development, productized multi-channel solution sets, and elegant third-party technology integrations—enabling clients to meet their unique digital selling needs. DMI-OCC is seeking an experienced Sr. Oracle Commerce Engineer to join their growing team! In this role, you will be working side-by-side with some of the most experienced ecommerce business and technical experts on the Oracle Commerce platform. You’ll apply your knowledge to develop ecommerce applications and fine-tune your consulting skills.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Analyze user requirements to design and develop features
    • Create thorough and clear technical documentation
    • Estimate implementation tasks
    • Interpret and follow technical designs for implementations 
    • Produce efficient and high-quality code
    • Take initiative on solving difficult problems
    • Proactively coordinate with technical leads and solution architects on design questions and technical blockers
    • Provide production support to clients to ensure site up-time and steady performance
    • Perform custom program development and implementation, system analysis, design, testing, and coding
    • Occasionally travel to client locations
    • Perform other duties as assigned


     Required Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 4+ years of demonstrated development experience on ATG/Oracle Commerce implementations
    • Expertise in Java/J2EE ecommerce applications 
    • Strong skills in investigating and diagnosing issues
    • Strong skills in integrating, deploying, and configuring application servers
    • Demonstrated understanding of the following technologies and how to use them to build Web applications:
      • Database (preferably Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access)
      • Java and object-oriented programming
      • J2EE application servers (Jboss, Weblogic)
      • Web servers
      • HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX
      • JSP/JSON
      • CDN
      • UNIX

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Previous success as an engineer on complex Oracle Commerce projects 
    • Ability to follow established coding standards
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision, relying on experience, research, and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals
    • Experience with technical project documentation
    • Ability to build rapport with team members and clients
    • Effective communication in English, with good verbal, written, and presentation skills
