    About the Opportunity

    DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a Senior Principal Systems Administrator / IBM to support a Federal customer with specialized engineering, application, and operational tasks relating to IBM End-Point Manager (EPM) (previously BigFix).


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for providing technical knowledge, administration, maintenance, and operation of the IBM End Point Manager tools, including:
      • IBM End-Point Manager (EPM)
      • Software Usage Analysis
      • WebReports
      • WebConsole
      • BigFix Inventory (BFI)
      • Security & Analytics (SCA)
      • Future IBM End-Point Manager Modules
    • Provide technical guidance, training, and knowledge transfer as needed
    • Provide technical feedback to development teams for installations and upgrades
    • Design, test, and implement new EPM technologies and software upgrades
    • Package applications for enterprise deployments
    • Deploy operating system and application patches and upgrades, new applications, and OS images
    • Update and maintain baseline scripts and installers
    • Provide baseline knowledge and debugging support
    • Maintain the EPM relay infrastructure
    • Acknowledge, update, and close incident tickets
    • Provide technical knowledge and support in Assessment and Authorization activities
    • Provide advanced resolution of incidents and problems
    • Recommend, plan, lead, and carry out projects to improve performance of the EPM tools, to bring systems and devices under management, install the tools, move EPM servers to new data centers, improve processes and procedures, and perform routine application or hardware upgrades.
    • Document changes and request changes through the governance process
    • Create custom monitoring and reporting, including specialized reports
    • Perform routine maintenance, including patching, monitoring, and reporting
    • Provide documentation support to create life cycle management documentation
    • Assist with Configuration and Change management in all aspects of asset, license, and lifecycle management of the IBM EPM
    • Track and coordinate license and warranty expirations




    • Active TS Clearance
    • 8-10 years of professional experience in:
      • Extensive experience with the IBM End-Point Manager tools
      • Possess IBM End-Point Manager certification
      • Experience with Microsoft Server 2008, 2012, and 2016, including Active Directory
      • Experience with Virtual and Cloud environments
      • Visual Basic Scripting, Power Shell Scripting, Batch Programming, Java, WebLogic, Tomcat, Unix Shell Scripting

    • Extensive experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktops
    • Experience with Microsoft SCCM packaging, and managing collections and deployments preferred
    • In-depth understanding of Group Policies and how they relate to packaged applications preferred
    • Tier 3 & 4 customer support experience preferred
    • Experience with Linux preferred


    Physical Requirement(s): No Physical requirement needed for this position.

    Location: Washington, DC

    • M-F (excluding Federal Holidays) 8 hours/day between 6AM-6PM
    • Some after hours/weekend work may be required to respond to emergencies on an on-call basis
