    About the Opportunity

    DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a TS Cleared Senior Computer Scientist to support  Federal customer with providing IT technical support which includes the continuing development of IT capabilities.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide assistance as a key member of a software development organization responsible for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) of new software systems.
    • Assist in the development and creation of information technology systems and processes which will support  agents and analysts. Documentation of newly created IT architecture is required including code comments and process descriptions with notes on approaches that didn't work out.
    • Serve as an integrator of new software products from industry and other government agencies.
    • Assist in ensuring the accurate, effective, and timely accomplishment of projects. Coordinate, integrate (based on given priorities), and ensure the integrity, technical robustness, standards compliance, and integrated system architectural design/synthesis for the Bureau's IT systems. Participate in Design Review Board meetings to ensure overall integration and synthesis of applications, systems, and databases within mission area/systems. ·
    • Assist in defming and implementing integrated systems architecture that achieves related goals. This integration encompasses the spectrum of analytic methods and techniques, including: computer aided software engineering (CASE), information engineering,. system life cycle (SLC) methodology, reverse engineering, data modeling, graphical user interfaces, rapid interactive network prototyping, and Internet standards, protocols, and exploitation.
    • Advise of needed changes/additions/deletions to the systems plans to reflect current strategic direction.
    • Provide guidance on resource management (e.g., equipment, personnel, cost) for major integration and architecture efforts to ensure understanding of the overall direction/focus in addition to how a particular application/system supports and is supported by the other applications/systems within the mission area.
    • Help apply standards and practices and further the integration of applications/systems. Participate in groups and attend conferences, as-necessary.
    • Aid in performing design work, development, testing and evaluation of software applications. Serve as a software developer on problems of diverse scope and execute complex development assignments including design of the conceptual approach, coding, and debugging. Responsible for taking into consideration business and long range technical issues in addition to specific development issues. Documentation of design of software is required including code comments and process descriptions with notes on approaches that didn't work out. Documentation of testing and evaluation of software is required.
    • Work closely with users to understand their needs.
    • Help implement user needs in the context of a 3-tiered or n-tiered enterprise architecture and not in stovepipes.
    • Incorporate new software technologies with one or more components to include product planning and external specification generation.
    • Develop software and systems that are in compliance with, and meet the goals of, open
      standards. Emphasis will be on deploying applications to integrate, modify, and extend web-based solutions. Comply with the FBI data and security model standards.

    Qualifications

    Education and Years of Experience:  

    • 1O+ years of relevant experience
    • Mastery knowledge of state-of-the7art Internet technologies, methods, standards, and issues to provide guidance to a multispecialty work group and others in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of web services
    • Skill in applying theoretical foundations of computer science along with an in-depth understanding of the overall mission and the application of newly emerging technology to satisfy mission requirements
    • Ability to coordinate, integrate, and design/develop the overall automated architecture to ensure effective communication and fusion of mission area objectives
    • Ability to make presentations and deliver. papers before internal and external groups or organizations
    • Ability to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops,
      reviewing professional, publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

    Required Skills/Certifications:  

    • Active TS Clearance 

    Additional Requirement(s): 

    • M-F (excluding Federal Holidays) 8 hours/day between 6AM-6PM
