    About the Opportunity

    DMI is currently seeking to hire a full-time Front Desk Administrator for our Headquarters in Bethesda, MD. As a Front Desk Administrator, or as we like to call it, First Impression Ambassador, you will be the first point of contact for our company. The holder of this position will provide general office administrative support and visitor control to a 150-person office, and will serve as a general security presence at this site. This is a Permanent position. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • As the Front Desk Administrator, project a professional and friendly demeanor to DMI visitors and provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed
    • Answer telephones in a timely and friendly manner and direct calls as needed 
    • Create and maintain a safe, secure and positive environment by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing physical security measures       
    • Sort and deliver mail and coordinate shipping/couriers    
    • Proactively maintain the reception area and office common areas        
    • Assist team members in scheduling and setting up meetings and internal conferences and events         
    • Coordinate and maintain records related to the office space (employee lists, seating assignments, office keys, standard supply lists, etc.)     
    • Oversee and prioritize facility requests, ensuring appropriate and timely responses    
    • Organize and maintain supplies in the copy/print room, conference rooms and pantries        
    • Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, faxing and filing 
    • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint     
    • Work on special projects     
    • Comply with all policies and applicable procedures
    • Maintain professional, cooperative and effective liaison activities with DMI Corporate Security and other DMI departments and field offices
    • Track invoicing and payments        
    • Serve as access control backup to the Corporate Security department  
    • Serve as a back-up point of contact for after-hours emergencies        
    • Serve as an occasional back-up for other corporate front-desk personnel at the Tysons DMI Office         


    Education and Years of Experience: 

    • HS Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree 

    Required Skills/Certifications:

    • Able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
    • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
    • A professional, team player who reliably comes to work on time each day with a positive attitude and a friendly disposition
    • Dependable transportation to work each day is a must   
    • A self-motivated team member who is organized, detail-oriented, and consistently follows through on assignments       
    • A good listener and constructive communicator    
    • At least a Basic-level proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is needed                   
    • Business attire required
