    Java Developer

We’re actively seeking Java developers ranging from Intermediate to Senior as well as Technical Leads. If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to meet you.


    What You Can Expect


    As a Java developer at DMI, your role is to create custom applications and web sites for our clients.  We always start by uncovering the business problem we are solving, so naturally you’ll participate in the analysis of business + functional requirements to understand our client’s business and technical needs. Once the solution is identified, you’ll lead the development of the application, working hand in hand with our user experience designers. You are both business focused and tech savvy, which means you can easily communicate technical and non-technical information clearly, answer questions from customers, and provide efficient technical solutions to problems. 


    You keep up to date on emerging technologies by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.



    Our Must Have List

    • Experience with core Java (SE) and J2EE
    • SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
    • HTML, CSS, and Java Script
    • Experience with service-oriented architectures, XML, SOAP, REST
    • Ability to conduct and participate in peer code reviews
    • Proven experience writing high quality object oriented code
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Experience working collaboratively with clients in the development process


    Desired, but Not Required

    • Consulting Experience
    • Unit Testing and Test Driven Development
    • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
    • Experience with popular frameworks: Hibernate, Spring, Struts, jQuery, etc.
    • Experience with Servlets and JSP
    • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
