    About the Opportunity

    DMI, Digital Management Inc., is  looking for Systems Administrator to provide support in all areas and phases of installation, set-up, configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware, software and any other specified tools. The Systems Administrator provides server, desktop, software, peripheral planning and support, imaging services, release management, password management, and Information Technology (IT) training. He/she provides touch labor support for all designated IT systems within the area of assigned responsibility and collaborates closely with the FSO, ISSM and program managers to ensure cybersecurity controls are effectively implemented.


    Duties and Responsibilities:   

    • Administrator for Windows 7/10 workstations operating in peer-to-peer networks as well as Windows Server 2016 domain-based networks
    • Troubleshoot and/or replace basic system components such as computer device power supply, hard drive, CDROM drive, motherboard, network interface card, keyboard, mouse, common access card reader, telephones/fax devices and other components,
      including peripherals
    • Administrator for Linux (RHEL/CentOS) workstations
    • Provide system administrative support as required such as; Account creation, modification and deletion, granting/revoking network access,managing file permissions.
    • Create, modify, diagnose and resolve account requests/problems with PKI authentication
    • Provide support for applications such as the following: MS Office, Internet Explorer, MS Visual Studio, and various other Windows\Linux applications
    • Troubleshooting, configuration, and repair for server, network, infrastructure, file shares, and other infrastructure issues
    • Updating to new systems, as well as support on current systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space, and implementing critical system patches
    • Optimize operations for multiple standalone and networked workstations, ensuring availability, reliability, and integrity of computer systems for continued mission accomplishment
    • Provide solutions and resolve complex software, hardware and network malfunctions to minimize interruption to the customers and minimizes mission delays
    • Identify applicable DISA STIGs, and track and report compliance with ACAS and SCC scanner
    • Create and Maintain A&A/RMF documentation: Security Plan, Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M), Software/Hardware Inventory, Network diagrams, INFOSEC Policies and Procedures, Risk Assessment Report, Security Assessment Plan and Report;
    • Contingency Plan, Incident Response Plan, and Configuration Management
    • Attend meetings and conferences as required and serve as a primary interface with the Government.
    • Conduct security control assessments; review the adequacy of the security controls and their ability to protect the system and its information; tailor the security controls to ensure compliance
      Read, interpret, and implement Cybersecurity/IA regulations and requirements; develop and maintain managerial, operational, and technical Cybersecurity/IA skillset
    • Perform Duties and Army regulations based on: 
      • AR 25-1 Army Information Technology, AR25-2 Army Information Assurance,  and AR380-5 DA Information Security Program
      • Make independent judgment and sound decisions when providing IT systems support, collaboration, and guidance to users and support personnel.
      • Provide technical direction and training for support personnel performing technical operations within the assigned area of responsibility
      • Be able to exercise a high degree of discretion when evaluating client's operating systems, hardware configuration, firewalls, security, and network infrastructurEInstall, integrate, and maintain various system servers and workstations such as, but not limited to, Windows Server 2Kx, Windows 7, 8, and 10, Windows Vista, GIS, UNIX, etc.
        Have a solid background in network properties, architecture, design infrastructure, and policy.
      • Execute policies and standards, as they relate to IT systems and network security and protocols.
      • Understand LAN/WAN/WLAN concepts, infrastructure, and protocols.
      • Demonstrate a wide degree of creativity and latitude as expected.
      • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
      • Provide comprehensive solutions for managing desktops, workstations, servers, printers, bridges, routers, etc.\
      • Provide networking assistance to users, including help with network connections and
      • Evaluate, install, configure, upgrade, and back-up hardware and software.  
      • Assist with configuring and assigning file shares and linking servers to database systems.
      • Utilize various scripting languages to create on-line forms linking users to databases.
      • May assist with the research, development, and implementation of network and host
        security policies and strategies
      • May assist with management of remote client access.
      • Monitor network traffic and make necessary recommendations for additional resources or hardware.


    Education and Years of Experience: 

    • BS Degree in Computer Science or technically equivalent with 2 plus years of experience.



    • Demonstrated experience of various COTS software/hardware, and network products (e.g. Windows Server 2Kx, Windows 7, 8, and 10, Windows Vista, GIS, UNIX)
    • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
    • Ability to understand detailed instructions.
    • Ability to react to customer issues and formulate resolutions quickly.
    • Must have strong organizational skills.

     Physical Requirement:  

    • Must be able to perform the standard requirements for this position on a daily basis.
