About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for a Sr Front End Developer to support our connected services project in Auburn Hills, MI

 

Do you have a passion for creating new and innovative technology and want to become a leader within a cutting edge agile software development team?  We are seeking a Sr Front End Developer who will be an integral part of designing and developing a fast responsive UI application that will become the next generation of connected services products. 

 

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with React JS
  • 5 years JavaScript development experience
  • 2+ years JavaScript unit testing experience
  • 7 years of experience building front end UI applications
  • Experience building SPAs
  • Experience working with NodeJS web servers
  • Extensive experience working with web services
  • Familiarity with various authentication protocols
  • Proficiency using modern web development technologies and techniques, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular2 and ReactJS
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment and to learn new frameworks/stacks
  • Experience with continuous delivery, git, test automation and build\deploy systems
  • Familiarity with web application build pipelines using WebPack, Gulp, Babel, Sass / LESS
  • Comfortable with Agile and Lean development process.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the United States

              

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

  • BS in Computer Science or other related field of study
  • 3 - 10 years of experience as a software developer on production project

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building front end applications within Mobile (iOS OR Android) or any Connected Services Platform
  • Experience migrating legacy web applications to ReactJS or other JavaScript framework
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
