About the Opportunity

DMI is currently seeking to hire a Problem Management Lead to support development and maintenance efforts for a Federal Government customer in the DC metro area.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

In accordance with ITIL best practices, the Problem Management Lead:

 

  • Performs and collaborates with others on  root cause analysis (RCA) for the IT infrastructure and applications
  • Perform investigative analysis and reporting on reoccurring incidents
  • Identify and drive corrective and preventive actions for the IT infrastructure and development partners
  • Correspond directly with IT infrastructure partners and business partners
  • Provide metrics and trending analysis to identify the major drivers of IT incidents
  • Contributes to Knowledge Management by maintaining the Known Error Database (KEDB)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Microsoft Windows 2012 and 2016 Server configuration and administration
  • Active Directory administration, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Group Policy Objects and Preferences
  • Remote Access, TCP/IP and troubleshooting network connectivity
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN
  • Hardware and Peripherals
  • Server administration, and network protocols
  • Understanding of Entrust and PKI encryption/security platforms
  • Exchange 2013 and 2016 basic administration
  • Knowledge of Remedy and Service now
  • Understanding of VMware vSphere
  • Citrix App is a plus

Qualifications

Required:

  • B.S. degree in a computer, or other information management related discipline, or with 5+ years of industry experience
  • ITIL v4 Foundations Certification + ITIL4 v Intermediate Certification( within 90 days of hire)
  • PMP (desired)
  • Industry-related certification
  • Top Secret clearance
