About the Opportunity

DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a Backend Developer to support our client in Maryland.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce, review, and obtain approval of detailed design specifications. Complete web and services development.
  • Conduct unit testing and obtain approval through code/test reviews. 
  • Support QA testing for related development. 
  • Support knowledge transition to appropriate support organizations.
  • Work with a team and customers to build scalable, extensible, and secure solutions, via on-time delivery of high-quality work within an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Use of best practices, including principles of Clean Code, while working with cross-functional teams


Required Skills/Certifications: 

  • Developer level with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent 5 to 7+ years of experience in software design and development
  • HTML/CSS, PHP, SOAP/REST, WordPress (Plugins & Themes) is required.
  • Solid Java/J2EE, JMS, XML, XSLT, XQUERY, XSD, SOAP, REST, Spring Framework, WSDL development experience Web services design and implementation is desirable
  • Exposure to and understanding of development & service design concepts, model-driven service development, caching, etc. 
  • Experience with Java-based web applications & environments is desirable 
  • Interact with the operations and QA teams for the deployment of software version updates and, where appropriate, code promotion and production support 
  • Basic knowledge of GIT environment for source code management
  • Setting up staging, QA, production environments


Specific Technology Skills:

  • WordPress Themes, Plugins & APIs 
  • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks
  • Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
  • Good working knowledge of MVC design patterns, REST services, JSON
  • Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
  • Front End Technology: Angular Material Bootstrap Jquery Ajax Json Jenkins Subversions Jira Javascript 
  • Back End Technology: PHP, Oracle Hibernate Struts or Spring JSON/Rest Web Services JSP Jenkins Build Scripts Tomcat Sonar Subversion JUnit or mockito is a plus
  • Following skills are a plus: Headless CMS, ReactJS, Angular, JQuery, NodeJs, NPM
