About the Opportunity

DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a EHR Senior Business Analyst to support our client in Maryland.  

This role is responsible for working with senior leadership, the facilities, team to understand, prioritize, and manage requirements; to design and decide the EHR workflow, configuration, and reports; to contribute to the planning and execution of OCM, including system training and support.

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks. Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting project leadership on larger more complex projects related to operational business functions that affect team members and providers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Stay current with state and vendor needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists) to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, Vendors, technical staff)
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation, managing project scope, adjusting schedules when necessary, determining daily priorities, ensuring efficient, on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths and managing customer and vendor relationships
  • Assess business process and system inefficiencies
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
  • Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
  • Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)
  • Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction
  • Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations
  • Develop and execute workflow and system test plans
  • Assist with and test implementation for all payer and vendor relationships to ensure data transfer collection, quality and reporting relationships are working appropriately to ensure team member and provider experience is appropriate
  • Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements
  • Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.
  • Meet with project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines


Skills and Qualification Requirements:

  • Must have 10 years’ experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business stakeholders
  • Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong relationship building & communication skills
  • Strong problem solving & process documentation skills
  • Strong understanding of analysis techniques to lead and document business processes, system requirements and data migration initiatives.
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office core (Word, Excel, PPT), project management and Business Intelligence tools

Preferred Skills and Qualification Requirements:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation or management experience
