About the Opportunity

DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for Director/Delivery Head – Application Development positioned to take DMI's World Class Emerging Technologies into new markets.


The Director of Application Development assists in leading consulting delivery and strategy within our Global Application Development Practice. This role requires an individual recognized as a subject matter expert in Enterprise Solution Development using Cloud-Native approaches, modern Web Application Frameworks and Java technologies.


Duties and Responsibilities:


The Director demonstrates delivery expertise by leading a team of resources and maintaining accountability for engagements and projects within the Practice. The right candidate will develop a vision and go to market solutions that will demonstrate our strong technology services to our clients.


This role is responsible for driving growth of the Practice through a combination of business development, talent management, engagement oversight, strategic direction setting and thought leadership. This position will maintain some minimal direct consulting responsibilities as well.


This position is accountable for:

  • Practice Strategy and Development
    • Drive overall growth and success of the Practice
    • Establish vision and business plan
    • Support the development of team and individual resources through knowledge transfer, training, coaching and mentorship

Foster a culture of ownership, investment, excellence, growth, and team achievement

Recruitment of new talent of all levels into the Practice

  • Business Development
    • Support business development activities through pre-sales, technical design and solution formulation, proposal creation and estimation
    • Create client solution offerings
    • Support market development activities
  • Engagement Oversight
    • Oversee engagement expectations, including planning and budgeting
    • Ensure the objectives of client engagements are met and expectations are exceeded
    • Ensure excellence of deliverables on key engagements
    • Fulfill trusted advisor duties for top level stakeholders and client sponsors
  • Practice Administration
    • Manage budget, including approving training requests and other expenses, utilization and bench hires
    • Responsible for the oversight and delegation of hiring and performance plans


  • 18+ years of industry experience, 3+ in direct leadership
  • Extensive experience implementing Java-based enterprise solutions
  • Successful solution implementation(s) using a Microservices-based, event-driven architecture
  • Significant experience in at least one of the following:
    • Modern Web Application Frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
    • Cloud expertise in AWS (PaaS focus) or Pivotal
  • Have a proven track record of leading a team and overseeing the successful delivery of technical solutions
  • Experienced in technical pre-sales
  • BS or BA Degree


Desired, but Not Required

  • Master’s Degree
  • Consulting experience


Some travel may be required (20% or less).
