About the Opportunity

DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is currently seeking to hire a Task Manager to support a customer of ours in Washington, DC. The Task Manager (TM) is a working member of the team and provides full service task management duties to manage and oversee assigned contractors. The TM also serves as a primary point of contact between contractor staff and the Government Task Monitor (GTM) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The TM performs contractor reviews and coordinates daily and long-range task requirements with the customer, as well as supports identification and selection of contractor staff.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the task assignments for a small team of contractors performing business process modelling, requirements development/ management and testing support activities
  • Manages Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution and Sprint closeout activities to assure the delivery of DMI work coincides with the timing needed by a separate Dev team
  • Using ALM tools such as Collabnet VersionOne (for User Story and Task Management)
  • Performs project management functions such as:
  • schedule management using Microsoft Project action item and risk management using Microsoft Excel project reporting using Microsoft Word and Power Point  
  • Performs duties as a Scrum Master to facilitate daily stand ups and assure impediments facing the team are handled efficiently and effectively
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Visio to build and proof read business process diagrams  (e.g. BPM diagrams, activity diagrams, data flow diagrams) to assure that deliverables possess high quality and follow industry relevant standards (e.g. BPMN 2.0)
  • Must have experience documenting and managing requirements so that the quality of requirements are aligned with CMMI generic and specific practices in the areas of Requirements Development and Requirements Management
  • Must have experience writing user stories; and allocating user stories to Epics
  • Must be an effective communicator, able to share relevant project information to other team members and the client, both verbally and in written form
  • Must demonstrate the ability to adhere to deadlines and makes sure client’s needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner



  • BS in Comp Science or equivalent



  • At least five years of experience identifying, determining the feasibility of, and analyzing the costs and benefits of alternatives for new software, system configurations, or new system development life cycle approaches. This experience must include:
  • Identification of alternatives;
  • Feasibility and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives; and
  • Development of final recommendations for users and management.
  • At least four years of experience in client relations, working closely with the client to resolve contract, development, and personnel issues.
  • At least three years of experience putting processes in place to assist in managing tasks or projects.
  • At least three years of experience providing performance appraisal and employeefeedback support.
  • At least three years of experience assessing employee training needs and assisting employees in skill building.
  • At least three years of experience recruiting, identifying, interviewing, selecting technical staff, and coordinating hires for task execution.
