About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead an agile development team building, integrating, and maintaining a global human resource Records Management Application (RMA) for the United States Army. An ideal candidate will have a background in commercial and federal applications development, strong communications skills, and experience with Linux based Java software development for document imaging and/or content/records management solutions. The candidate should be familiar with document scanning technologies, AJAX concepts, HTTP, Jscript, Micro Services, relational databases, REST, SOAP, Web Services, XML, XHTML, and digital preservation.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Establishes the technical design and develops or integrates software for human resource records management.  Must have hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies from file and data capture, user interfaces, automated workflow, back-end systems, and the following areas:  

  • Best practices as for ERM/Content Management (CM) solutions being able resolve organizational needs and actively participates in all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Provides the technical clarification of customer business requirements and resulting technical approach(s) and software design specifications for coding.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, project managers, engineers, and senior staff members.
  • Articulate and communicates information effectively to diverse audiences. Translates subject matter terminology into business terms, and recommends alternatives to both senior management and software developers.


 Education and Years of Experience:   

  • Seven to ten year's progressive Information Technology (IT) systems experience with an emphasis on Java Web application development and ERM/CM solutions.
  • Specialized Experience: Document and Records Management Systems, Linux, and knowledge of DoD or Army security requirements.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences or 10 years related experience

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+, either RHEL or Java certification
  • CompTIA Security + certification
  • Active Security Clearance at the Secret level
  • Java certification
