About the Opportunity

DMI is currently seeking to hire a Release Management Specialist to support operations for a Federal Government customer in the DC metro area.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties using provided tools to identify, mitigate risk and remove vulnerabilities from the desktops.
  • Deploy or manually install missing patches and updates on desktops and servers
  • Install and monitor Symantec Anti-Virus definition on desktops and servers
  • Maintains the established standard operating environment (SOE) for the desktops.
  • Deploy non SOE-D software such as MS Visio, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, etc to desktops.
  • Managing incidents within the ticketing system
  • Identifies and resolves technical problems related to software deployments
  • Create reports using excel and SCCM queries
  • Modify/build software packages /updates  for  applications
  • Run PowerShell scripts resolve issue with SCCM clients and WMI repository

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • 2-3 years hands on desktop support experience
  • Associate Degree/ higher in an IT related field

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Minimum Secret level security clearance
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of Windows 7/ Windows 10/ Office 2013/ Office 2016/ Windows 2012
  • Experience with Remedy or other ticket management software
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell/VB scripts
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledgeable of network principles and operation to troubleshoot network issues vs. desktop issues
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask.
  • Certifications- At least 1 of the following: A+, Network+ or Security+
