About the Opportunity

DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a Technical Systems Lead

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The selected candidate will be the core lead system interface Engineer responsible for various
system interface functions and ECUs in the BLE Subsystem within onboard and off board
systems. The BLE/UWB/NFC or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Ultra-wideband (UWB) or
Near Field communication (NFC) subsystems are comprised of the central BLE/UWB control
module (BLEM/BUN) and arrange of BLE/UWB/NFC Antennas that collectively are utilized on
a global cross-vehicle basis in Ford and Lincoln nameplate vehicles. The primary feature that
the BLEM/BUN/BLEAMs/UWB Anchors support is PaaK (Phone As A Key), and some of the
additional features include RePA (Remote Park Assist), user Authentication in AV vehicles and
OTA. The BLEM/BUN communicates with the Antennas via communication protocol such as
dedicated LIN or private CAN-FD, communicate with smart phone via BLE/UWB and Via
CAN/CAN-FD with other ECUs in the vehicle such as Body Control Module, Telematics
Control Module, Sync Control Module, and other feature specific modules.

 

Responsibilities include:
 Direct System interface for the BLE/UWB/NFC modules and Antennas modules as led
by the full-service supplier to ensure the modules meets all FMC and Bluetooth SIG
requirements as well as vehicle milestones-Gateways deliverables.
 Evaluate system interface with Mobile-App, Cloud, Antennas and with the in-vehicle
subsystems.
 Ensure all feature and functional requirements/specifications are met. work with Spec
authors and feature owners to ensure specifications are clear and achievable. Update
specifications as needed. Communicate the requirements to the supplier.
 understand all the expected BLE use-cases customers may expect and ensure, as
applicable, the subsystem design capability to support the use cases identified.
 Conduct bench level and vehicle level validation; evaluate requirements Vs ECUs
capability and present the results to the wider teams.
 Review supplier's SW development plan, SW Architecture documentation, traceability
between software work products/releases and supplier's test plan & test result,
etc. Ensure software deliverables align with vehicle program timing and EESE process to
ensure supplier software quality launch.
 Drive resolution of complex intersystem and intersystem software related issue between
BLE module, other modules on CAN, phone Apps and off-board system.
 Perform system design review with suppliers and internal teams to complete quality
analysis, ensure system interface follows requirements, Functional Safety requirements,
security cryptographic and other industry standards.
 Attend/support commodity PATs, support vehicle Launch (as needed may require some
traveling).
 Work closely with the broader BLE subsystem team, who as a whole are responsible for
hardware, software, and verification of the BLE/UWB subsystem.
 Lead troubleshooting issues of defects and bring them to closure.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
 Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering or
equivalent.
 4+ years of system/ECU development experience in design and release of electronic
control module for automotive OEM and / or for automotive Electronic Control
Manufacturer. Preferred to also have experience in automotive connectivity solutions
such as Bluetooth, Ultrawide band, Wi-Fi, or Cellular.
 Skilled in Netcom requirements, Danlaw testing, EOL testing, Vehicle diagnostics, CAN
tools, etc.
 General understanding of vehicle Cyber Security cryptographic and concept.
 Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
 Teamcenter VSM, JIRA, and Github experience desired.
 Demonstrates positive teamwork ethics and good leadership behaviors.
