About the Opportunity

DMI is currently seeking a full time Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team supporting a $150M IT Services Business focused on Government Clients.


As a Financial Analyst, you will partner with the Operations and Accounting teams to provide timely and accurate financial guidance to the 3 Vertical leaders of DMI’s Government portfolio and Project Managers. You will also support ad-hoc and special projects spanning Program Improvement, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Executive Dashboards and Cost Optimization. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills working directly with Senior Leaders to help achieve targets, while growing your competencies in the areas of Program Management, Operations, FP&A and Accounting.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial reporting, analysis and forecasting for Vertical P&Ls and Programs. Consider factors such as revenue backlog, pipeline, project modifications, staffing changes, subcontractor costs, ODCs, overhead and SG&A costs, etc.
  • Partner with Vertical leadership to help manage P&L
  • Partner with Operations and Project managers to help manage projects, in collaboration with Program Control organization
  • Foster formal and informal communication networks between all stakeholders including but not limited to: Vertical Leadership, Operations Teams, Project Managers, Customers, Program Control, Accounting, Contracts, Legal
  • Ensure our team maintains close attention to detail, sense of urgency, and mission focus in delivering quality to clients and results for DMI


Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize and lead team in accomplishment of multiple simultaneous complex activities
  • Self-starter, willing to take initiative, learn, and fill in the gaps to ensure the team and mission is getting taken care of
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Excellent aptitude with Microsoft Excel including PivotTables and Lookups
  • 1-2 years of directly related experience managing Government Contracting finance and operations


Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Financial management experience including use of ERP such as Deltek Cospoint
