About the Opportunity

Digital Management, LLC (DMI) is seeking a full-time SharePoint Developer to support a customer of ours in the DC Metro area.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze, design, develop, apply, and support complex enterprise projects;
  • Evaluate customer requirements and provide effective solutions;
  • Interface with other offices, consult with and inform user departments on system requirements, and resolve problems and operating difficulties for current and future enhancements to customer's systems;
  • Participate in problem resolution related to system design and review;
  • Recommend approval of functional and technical design documents and enactment of systems, program enhancements, and updates of applications;
  • Analyze and evaluate system changes to determine feasibility, alternative solutions, and backup procedures; and
  • Work on the development of new systems, upgrades, and enhancements to existing systems and ensure systems are compliant with approved standards.
  • Build fully deployable packages for development, staging, integration, and production environments and submit deployment requests for approval. 
  • Adhere to software development methods including Agile, SCRUM, and Lean in the development of software. 
  • Provide project status reports to the customer at all stages of the project lifecycle. 
  • Utilize a bug tracking system/TFS to record and report failings to project managers. 
  • Ensure SOPs, “How To” guides, testing plans, and accreditation paperwork are complete for each application.
  • Develop custom solutions in Microsoft SharePoint 2016, 2019, and Office 365. 
  • C#.Net software development utilizing JavaScript libraries such as AngularJS, ReactJS, and jQuery.
  • Develop modern rich UI for the SharePoint applications and pages.
  • Develop and publish custom web pages.
  • Create and manage security and permissions.
  • Perform data analysis and develop relational data models and reports.
  • Perform and maintain integrations with external systems.
  • Unit test applications. 
  • Support applications after release.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or software engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in SharePoint Development (including customized code, and creating/modifying web parts, creating/modifying SharePoint workflows)
  • Proficiency with tools and technologies such as SharePoint framework, C#.NET, ASP.NET, SQL, Web API, REST, JavaScript, AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery, CSS, HTML5, and Bootstrap.
  • Proficiency with software development and project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the methods, tools, and techniques used to evaluate, select, develop, test, integrate, and troubleshoot systems software and hardware of all types;
  • Demonstrated progressive responsibility with diversified technical level information systems and data processing management; and
  • Knowledge of multi-tiered applications such as web services, clustered environments, database servers, application servers, and report servers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in an IT-related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience (Senior).
