About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for a Project Manager to support a federal customer in the DC Metro area. This candidate will be responsible for the following.

 

SELECTED RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to manage multiple high profile projects, mange team capacity and dynamics, mitigate risks, escalate and resolve roadblocks and provide transparency and tracking of all project progress and deliverables.  
  • Manage cross-functional team of Developers, Analysts, DevOps, and QA resources, with experience in leading all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure development and delivery is aligned with prioritized program roadmap targets and Release Management processes
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
  • Propose and facilitate meetings to obtain critical documentation needs, and consult with teams on system usage, tools and templates, and process design
  • Maintain archives of prepared technical documentation
  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning and backlog grooming
  • Simplify complex technical concepts and processes into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language for various audiences, including end-users, administrators, and technical staff
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 5+ years of work experience managing increasingly complex projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes and outputs
  • Understanding of Virtual Event Management Platforms a plus
  • Advanced writing, interpersonal, and conceptual skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and structure information effectively
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, IT infrastructure and Azure a plus
  • Prior experience in the IT industry or working with IT professionals is preferred
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
