About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking an IT Facility Escort to join us. This individual supports access to the IT facilities within the Pentagon for various vendors and customers to ensure the upkeep of the facilities and the equipment residing within them. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Escorts Pentagon tenants and vendors into the IT facilities and racks.
  • Supports authorized and emergency power and HVAC outages at the Pentagon and other JSP locations throughout the National Capital Region (NCR).
  • Supports space and power configuration management functions as needed.
  • Supports inspections, to include those conducted by the fire marshal, as well as physical and cyber security teams.       
  • Supports Power SMEs with outages and daily actives (change management, system admin, IT facility escorts
  • Perform basic Power Audits.
  • Document all required information for each site visit performed within Remedy
  • Work with team members to coordinate custom and large installation projects
  • Properly document, label, and return all defective or decommissioned parts
  • Coordinate UPS and battery replacements and removal/disposal with JSP Power Team
  • Provide access support to perform preventative maintenance and resolve issues within the IT facilities. This includes, but is not limited to access control systems, HVAC systems, fire extinguishers and suppression systems, power infrastructure, and other monitoring tools.
  • May be required to support various NCR activities, i.e., ASIs, installations, etc., as needed

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

  • H.S. Diploma with three years of specialized experience in related field. Experience working in a facilities mission critical environment is highly preferred.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: 

  •  Self-Motivated/ Self starter
  • Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with team members and subject matter experts (SME)s
  • Ability to anticipate problems & take decisive action
  • Familiarity with DISA/JSP or similar DOD environment
  • Ability to use SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate with tenants/customers as well as coworkers
  • Must have ability to operate government owned vehicles and have a safe driving record.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures, professional documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Experience with racking and stacking hardware within IT facilities

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to walk, stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office building environment
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
