About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a IT Management Lead to join us. 

 

The IT Management Lead is responsible for overseeing the technical, project, and operational management of data centers, data networks, communication services, and change management processes within the organization. This role ensures the seamless operation of IT infrastructure while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The IT Management Lead will also manage large-scale projects and implement best practices in IT service management.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Technical and Operational Management:

    • Oversee the operations and maintenance of the organization's data centers, data networks, and communication services to ensure continuous availability and performance.
    • Manage the implementation and execution of change management processes across IT operations, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
    • Ensure that all systems are compliant with security standards and operational policies.
  • Project Management:

    • Lead and manage IT projects, including the implementation of new systems, upgrades, and process improvements.
    • Coordinate resources, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within scope.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and key metrics to track project performance.
  • Leadership & Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data center engineers, network specialists, and communication service providers, to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.
    • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
  • Change Management:

    • Oversee and enforce the organization's change management policies, ensuring that all system changes are executed in a controlled and organized manner.
    • Facilitate communication between stakeholders during change initiatives and ensure adherence to established ITIL standards.
  • Service Delivery & Compliance:

    • Ensure IT services meet business objectives and comply with industry standards, including ITIL best practices.
    • Support the organization’s compliance efforts by aligning IT operations with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic IT Planning:

    • Participate in strategic planning sessions with senior leadership to align IT services with business goals and identify future opportunities for technology enhancements.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a relevant field is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in technical, project, and operational management of data centers, data networks, communication services, and change management services.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: 

 

Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required prior to onboarding.
  • ITIL 4+ Foundation certification is required prior to onboarding.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of data center infrastructure, networking, and communication systems.
  • Strong understanding of change management processes and ITIL best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale IT projects, including resource allocation and risk management.

Additional Requirements:

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and critically.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in data center management, cloud computing, or security management.
