About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking an experienced Senior MarTech Engineer to join our offshore team in India. This role requires deep expertise in full-stack web development, with a strong emphasis on WordPress architecture (PHP-based CMS environments), security, scalability, performance engineering, and enterprise-grade digital operations.

The ideal candidate will lead the day-to-day technical management of DMI’s corporate website and digital ecosystem - including server administration, uptime monitoring, security and privacy compliance, UX and accessibility improvements, and performance optimization. The role also requires strong capabilities in technical SEO, marketing analytics enablement, LLM optimization, and AI-assisted development, ensuring the website remains optimized not just for human users but for search engines and emerging generative AI/LLM-based discovery platforms.

The candidate will collaborate closely with Marketing, Digital, Creative, and IT teams to support broader digital marketing initiatives, campaign execution, analytics dashboarding, and ongoing website refresh cycles. Experience in the IT services industry or familiarity with enterprise and emerging technologies is highly preferred.

This role requires partial overlap with Eastern Time (until Noon ET approximately).
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Website Development & Architecture:
    • Lead end-to-end website development efforts across front-end and back-end systems.
    • Manage and enhance WordPress architecture, including themes, custom templates, child themes, and plugin development.
    • Implement scalable, secure, high-performance solutions aligned with best practices for enterprise WordPress environments.
    • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code across PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
    • Leverage emerging tools and technologies - including generative AI, agentic AI, vibe coding, and automated code accelerators - to enhance development velocity, improve site performance, and deliver more innovative, user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Website Operations, Maintenance, and Lifecycle Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day management of DMI’s corporate website and related digital assets.
    • Perform routine maintenance, site health checks, uptime monitoring, and incident response.
    • Manage hosting environments, server configurations, caching layers, and CDN integrations.
    • Conduct regular platform updates for themes, plugins, and core files while ensuring compatibility and stability.
    • Lead and manage full website refresh cycles, coordinating with Marketing, Corporate, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely updates and alignment with brand and business priorities.
  • Security, Compliance & Governance:
    • Execute routine security audits, malware scans, and vulnerability assessments.
    • Ensure adherence to privacy and compliance policies including CCPA, GDPR, cookie consent frameworks, and global data protection best practices.
    • Implement backup strategies, failover procedures, and disaster recovery practices.
  • Design, UX & Content Support:
    • Collaborate with marketing, creative, and content teams to implement design updates, landing pages, microsites, and UX improvements.
    • Ensure all web updates reflect brand standards, accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1), and responsive design principles.
    • Continuously research and recommend improvements to enhance user experience, performance, and engagement.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
    • Lead and implement comprehensive on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies to improve organic visibility and search performance for the corporate website and other digital assets.
    • Conduct routine SEO audits to identify issues across site architecture, indexing, schema, Core Web Vitals, content gaps, and link structure.
    • Collaborate with content and marketing teams to build SEO-driven landing pages, blogs, and campaign assets.
    • Support with conducting keyword research, metadata optimization, structured data markup, and competitive SEO benchmarking.
    • Monitor SEO KPIs using tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and HubSpot, and recommend continuous optimization opportunities.
    • Ensure all SEO efforts align with enterprise-grade digital governance, accessibility standards, and compliance frameworks.
  • Large Language Model (LLM) Optimization:
    • Optimize website content, metadata, structured data, and internal linking to improve visibility and accuracy in AI/LLM-powered search systems (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot).
    • Implement semantic markup, entity tagging, and knowledge graph enhancements to support LLM-driven retrieval and ranking.
    • Leverage LLM-based tools to automate content classification, code generation, content rewrites, troubleshooting, and QA processes.
    • Continuously evaluate emerging AI search behaviors and adapt SEO + content strategies for better alignment with generative AI and agentic AI ecosystems.
    • Partner with internal teams to ensure brand messaging, terminology, and digital assets are optimized for AI-driven discovery.
  • Digital Marketing, Analytics, & Campaign Support:
    • Support the digital marketing team by enabling campaign execution through landing page builds, form integrations, tracking setup, and performance enhancements.
    • Configure and manage analytics dashboards (GA4, GTM, HubSpot, 6sense, etc.) to support reporting for marketing, leadership, and executive stakeholders.
    • Implement conversion tracking, event tagging, attribution models, and A/B testing frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness.
    • Collaborate on digital campaigns by integrating pixels, conversion APIs, schema enhancements, and audience segmentation logic.
    • Coordinate with marketing teams to develop data-driven insights that support paid media, SEO, ABM, and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
    • Ensure all digital operations follow compliance requirements, performance best practices, and secure data-handling standards.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Conduct frequent audits on loading speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness, caching, and overall site performance.
    • Optimize databases, scripts, media, and server environments for efficiency and scalability.
    • Prepare and deliver regular reports on website performance, updates, incidents, enhancements, and roadmap progress to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Corporate Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative Studio, IT Security, and senior leadership to support business objectives.
    • Collaborate with external vendors, technology partners, and creative agencies as needed to support development, security, UX, and performance initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Education and Years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of proven full-stack web development experience, with a strong focus on PHP-based CMS platforms.
  • Certifications in web technologies (WordPress, PHP, AWS/GCP/Azure, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Preferred: Certifications in SEO (Google SEO, SEMrush, HubSpot SEO), digital marketing analytics, or web performance optimization.
  • Good-To-Have: Certifications in AI/LLM technologies, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development frameworks.

Required Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in WordPress, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, REST APIs.
  • Strong experience with WordPress multisite, Gutenberg/Block Editor, custom post types, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and plugin development.
  • Experience with hosting/server management, Linux environments, cPanel/WHM, cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of security hardening, SSL management, firewall/CDN configurations, and data privacy compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning, caching technologies, and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade digital operations and website governance.
  • Strong understanding of SEO frameworks including technical SEO, schema markup, structured data, keyword research, and Core Web Vitals optimization. Hands-on experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GA4, and Looker Studio will be preferred.
  • Experience optimizing web content and metadata for LLM-based search systems and generative AI-driven discovery.
  • Ability to support digital marketing operations, including tracking setup, analytics, UX enhancements, and campaign-based development support.

Good-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience in IT services industry or enterprise B2B environment.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or basic design tooling.
  • Understanding of SEO, marketing analytics tools, and web tagging frameworks.
  • Familiarity with LLM optimization, entity mapping, semantic SEO, and AI-driven content enhancement workflows.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports using Google Looker Studio, HubSpot Reporting, or similar BI tools.
  • Exposure to ABM tools (6sense, Demandbase) and integration of marketing tracking systems.
  • Experience integrating CRM or marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce).
