Lead Cyber Defense at the Mission Level
DMI, LLC is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Cybersecurity Lead / Information Assurance Manager to oversee and strengthen enterprise-level security operations in support of U.S. Government initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned cybersecurity professional who thrives in complex environments and is ready to guide strategy, mentor teams, and ensure compliance across critical systems.
This role offers the opportunity to influence cybersecurity doctrine, protect sensitive national security systems, and shape the security posture of high-visibility programs.
Establish and enforce system-wide information security requirements based on user needs, regulatory guidance, policy, and operational demands.
Support Government cybersecurity leadership in developing and implementing cybersecurity and Information Assurance doctrine and policy.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cybersecurity staff, guiding solution design and implementation.
Oversee Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages and ensure full compliance with applicable standards and frameworks.
Verify and validate required patches, updates, and configuration modifications to maintain secure system baselines.
Review system engineering documentation, CONOPS, and configuration specifications to identify risks and ensure security requirements are fully integrated.
Implement and manage public key infrastructure (PKI) technologies and security mechanisms.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Information Systems Security Engineering
At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience
Fully Qualified Level Navy Validator as defined in OPNAVINST 5239
Technical Expertise
Strong background in information systems security engineering, security services, threat mitigation, and lessons learned from attack scenarios
Experience with Certification and Accreditation processes for IT systems
Hands-on experience with HBSS, McAfee, Cisco Sourcefire, SolarWinds, and/or NitroSecurity
Position must meet IAT Level III requirements per DoD 8570.01-M
CISSP certification preferred
This position requires eligibility for and adjudication to a TS/SCI clearance level at contract start.
