About the Opportunity

Network Operations Manager

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

DMI is seeking a seasoned Network Operations Manager to lead enterprise Voice, Data, and Video network operations in support of a federal program. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing mission‑critical network services within a large, complex federal environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence.

 

The Network Operations Manager provides strategic and technical leadership for network operations and engineering teams, managing day‑to‑day service delivery, network administration, and integration of large‑scale network solutions. This role coordinates across multiple network teams, guides network design and implementation efforts, and ensures compliance with ISS2 PWS network operations requirements while driving continuous improvement and service reliability.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise Voice, Data, and Video teams
  • Provide general voice and data network administration
  • Provide technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex, large-scale networks
  • Oversee network design, implementation, and operations tasks
  • Review work products for correctness, adherence to design concepts, and user standards
  • Ensure progress in accordance with schedules and milestones
  • Manage network operations center activities
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on network requirements and changes
  • Drive continuous improvement of network operations
  • Manage escalations and resolve complex network issues
  • Develop network operations strategies and standards

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of related experience managing personnel responsible for telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations
  • Proven experience reviewing work products for correctness and standards adherence
  • Strong management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of voice, data, and video network technologies
  • Experience managing complex large-scale networks

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience

Substitutions (per contract guidelines):

  • No degree: 2 additional years of experience
  • Associate’s degree: 1 additional year of experience
  • Master’s or PhD: No additional experience required

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNP or higher-level network certifications
  • Experience managing network operations in federal environments
  • Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management frameworks
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with network operations center management

 

Clearance & Requirements

  • Must successfully complete a Public Trust background investigation and/or obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
