About the Opportunity

Senior Knowledge Manager

DMI, LLC | Remote (U.S.)

DMI, LLC is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Knowledge Manager to lead and mature our enterprise knowledge management program. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the vision, governance, and execution of knowledge management across a complex IT services environment.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and operational—capable of defining enterprise-wide direction while driving measurable outcomes through modern methodologies, governance frameworks, and AI-enabled innovation.


Position Overview

The Senior Knowledge Manager leads the strategic direction and implementation of the enterprise knowledge management program. This role aligns knowledge strategy with IT service delivery objectives, partners with technical subject matter experts, and ensures knowledge assets deliver measurable business value.

You will champion Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) practices, establish governance and quality standards, develop executive reporting, and identify opportunities to enhance knowledge management through AI and emerging technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and execution of the enterprise knowledge management program

  • Develop and implement comprehensive KM strategies aligned with IT service delivery goals

  • Partner with technical SMEs across teams to ensure knowledge is captured, structured, and maintained effectively

  • Implement and mature Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodologies

  • Establish governance frameworks, lifecycle processes, and quality standards

  • Define metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness and business impact

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI and automation within knowledge management

  • Lead enterprise KM initiatives and cross-functional projects

  • Develop promotional materials and user adoption campaigns

  • Provide executive-level reporting on program performance, maturity, and ROI

  • Drive continuous improvement and long-term KM maturity

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading knowledge management programs in complex IT environments

  • Extensive experience developing and scaling enterprise KM strategies

  • Proven track record implementing knowledge management programs at scale

  • Strong knowledge of KM frameworks, best practices, and content management systems

  • Experience developing metrics, dashboards, and performance measurement frameworks


Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.

Education substitutions accepted per contract guidelines:

  • No Degree: 2 additional years of experience

  • Associate’s Degree: 1 additional year of experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Meets baseline requirement

  • Master’s Degree or PhD: No additional experience required


Preferred Qualifications

  • KCS certification

  • ITIL Expert or ITIL Managing Professional certification

  • Experience applying AI and machine learning to knowledge management

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Knowledge Management and AI capabilities

  • Strong strategic planning and enterprise program leadership skills

  • Experience with organizational change management

  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills


Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or Public Trust clearance

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
