DMI is seeking an experienced Digital Lead to join our offshore team in India. This role will focus on modernizing DMI’s internal digital initiatives, website ecosystem, and marketing technology operations through a combination of SharePoint expertise, Confluence-to-SharePoint migration experience, AI-assisted development, automation, and digital experience optimization.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, Confluence, Microsoft 365, information architecture, content migration, taxonomy, metadata, permissions, governance, and knowledge management frameworks. The role will sit within Marketing and support internal content systems, digital assets, knowledge repositories, campaign enablement, and cross-functional collaboration platforms.
A major expectation of this role is the ability to use generative AI, agentic AI, vibe coding platforms, AI code assistants, low-code/no-code tools, and automation frameworks to improve DMI’s website and digital assets. This includes making digital experiences more agile, intelligent, personalized, searchable, accessible, SEO-ready, AEO/GEO-optimized, and efficient for internal teams to manage.
The candidate will also support lightweight application development, automation scripts, utilities, internal tools, prototypes, workflow automations, content classification, reporting dashboards, and AI-assisted process improvements. Experience in an IT services, consulting, B2B technology, or enterprise environment is highly preferred.
This role requires partial overlap with Eastern Time (until Noon ET approximately).
Duties and Responsibilities
- SharePoint Migration & Digital Delivery
- Lead and support migration initiatives from platforms like Confluence to SharePoint Online, including content discovery, migration planning, content mapping, permissions review, and post-migration validation.
- Design scalable SharePoint information architecture, including sites, hubs, libraries, lists, metadata, navigation, page templates, and content types.
- Partner with Marketing, Corporate, IT, and business stakeholders to define migration requirements, governance rules, content ownership, and publishing workflows.
- Conduct pre-migration audits to identify outdated, duplicate, redundant, or low-value content.
- Support migration execution using relevant tools such as ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Manager, PowerShell, or equivalent platforms.
- Ensure migrated content is searchable, well-structured, accessible, and aligned with enterprise governance standards.
- Support Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness by improving content quality, content lifecycle governance, and findability across migrated SharePoint environments.
- AI-Assisted Transformation, Automation & Innovation
- Use generative AI, agentic AI, vibe coding platforms, AI code assistants, low-code/no-code tools, and automation frameworks to accelerate internal digital projects and improve delivery velocity.
- Apply AI tools to modernize DMI’s website, SharePoint environments, knowledge repositories, campaign assets, and other digital assets / experiences.
- Support AI-enabled improvements that make digital assets more dynamic, interactive, discoverable, scalable, accessible, personalized, and easier to update.
- Use AI-assisted development platforms to rapidly prototype landing pages, microsites, workflow tools, dashboards, internal utilities, and proof-of-concept applications.
- Build lightweight applications, automation scripts, integrations, and reusable components to improve Marketing and Corporate team productivity.
- Apply AI tools to support content migration, content classification, metadata generation, duplicate content identification, content cleanup, and knowledge base structuring.
- Support AI-driven optimization for SEO, AEO, GEO, LLM discovery, semantic search, structured content, entity clarity, and answer-engine visibility.
- Use AI-assisted QA processes to identify broken links, accessibility issues, metadata gaps, inconsistent terminology, duplicate content, UX friction, and content governance risks.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging AI platforms that can improve web development, SharePoint operations, digital asset management, content workflows, marketing operations, and reporting.
- Ensure responsible AI usage, including human review, data protection, brand governance, quality control, and alignment with DMI’s security and compliance standards.
- SharePoint Administration, Governance & Optimization
- Manage SharePoint Online environments, including site configuration, access controls, permissions, metadata, taxonomy, and document management standards.
- Establish and maintain governance practices for content lifecycle, ownership, version control, archiving, and retention.
- Configure and optimize SharePoint pages, lists, libraries, workflows, forms, and integrations.
- Ensure SharePoint experiences are intuitive, user-friendly, secure, and aligned with DMI’s brand and internal communication standards.
- Monitor adoption, usability, content quality, and platform performance, and recommend ongoing improvements.
- AI-Optimized Content, Search & Knowledge Discovery
- Structure SharePoint, website, and marketing content so it is easier to discover through enterprise search, Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI agents, traditional search engines, and LLM-powered discovery platforms.
- Improve content findability through strong taxonomy, metadata, page structure, internal linking, semantic headings, entity consistency, and structured data.
- Support AEO/GEO readiness by creating content patterns that answer buyer, employee, and stakeholder questions clearly and directly.
- Partner with Marketing and Corporate teams to ensure service pages, solution content, internal knowledge assets, and campaign materials are optimized for both human users and AI-powered retrieval.
- Help establish AI-ready content governance standards, including naming conventions, metadata rules, content ownership, source-of-truth tagging, review cycles, and archive policies.
- Support readiness for Microsoft 365 Copilot and future AI agents by improving content quality, permissions hygiene, lifecycle management, and oversharing controls.
- Microsoft 365, Automation & Workflow Enablement
- Support Microsoft 365 collaboration tools including Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, Power Apps, Forms, and related ecosystem components.
- Build and maintain lightweight workflows, forms, approvals, dashboards, and automation to improve internal marketing operations.
- Integrate SharePoint with relevant tools and platforms used by Marketing, Corporate, IT, and internal business teams.
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes, reduce operational friction, and improve collaboration across distributed teams.
- Martech, Web & Digital Support
- Support marketing-owned digital systems, campaign assets, internal repositories, and digital enablement tools.
- Assist with website and martech updates as needed, including WordPress, HubSpot, GA4, GTM, SEO, landing pages, tracking, dashboards, and reporting.
- Support analytics, campaign operations, form integrations, tagging, and performance reporting for marketing initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of SEO, AEO/GEO, LLM optimization, digital accessibility, and content governance best practices..
- Security, Compliance & Information Governance
- Ensure SharePoint and digital workplace environments follow appropriate security, privacy, access control, and data governance standards.
- Support compliance with internal policies and applicable privacy frameworks, including content retention, permissions management, and secure data handling.
- Partner with IT and Security teams on platform access, governance, audits, and risk mitigation.
- Design SharePoint architecture with AI-readiness in mind, including clear taxonomy, metadata, permissions, content ownership, and source-of-truth structures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with Marketing, Corporate Communications, Creative, IT, Security, and business stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into practical platform solutions, workflows, and content experiences.
- Provide routine updates on migration progress, risks, adoption metrics, platform enhancements, and roadmap priorities.
- Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, or technology partners as needed.
