You’ll use your analytical powers to uncover business objectives, and then tap into your equally strong writing skills to clearly articulate requirements and technical solution details. DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for System Engineer to support our client in MD.   Primary responsibilities: - Provide network and system support including installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of server software and hardware (e.g., HP ProLiant servers as standalone or virtualization platforms). - Install Host Operating Systems, including Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019, and perform feature upgrades as needed. - Perform server backup and recovery management. - We have two levels of backups: - Using MDOT infrastructure (via DPX agents) - Using internal mechanisms (primarily snapshots and/or archives sent to internal repositories) - Maintain virtual machine environments operating in various platforms (e.g., VMware, MS Hyper-V, OVS, etc.). - Manage and maintain storage systems supporting MPA operations (e.g., NetApp, HP3-PAR, etc.). - Deploy Software Patches to Windows Servers and Workstations, using primarily SCCM and staging orchestration to minimize down time as much as possible. - Configure and maintain MPA network switches, routers, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Netgear, Planet, etc.), with fiber and copper connections. Coordinate with MDOT/DMI personnel routine maintenance activities or projects involving network and systems. - Troubleshoot and maintain network fiber and copper links and coordinate associated improvement projects. - Assist and/or support Help Desk technicians on daily tasks. Recommend procedural improvements as needed. - Create, maintain, and support Active Directory functionality including the integration of required functionality and the implementation of interworking with associated MPA systems. Perform periodic maintenance of Active Directory Objects including removal or reconfiguration as applicable. - Create, maintain, and support Group Policy functionality. Perform periodic maintenance and reconfiguration of Group Policy Objects.  Coordinate changes with MDOT Enterprise to ensure adherence to established processes and procedures. - Coordinate with MDOT Network Operations Center (NOC) the resolution of Data Center, Network, and System outages. - Ensure MPA Data Centers and Communication Shelters at all MPA terminals and support locations remain operational during non-maintenance hours.
