The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing Desktop Support Services to Department of State consolidated Bureaus. The customer's mission is to provide a secure venue for responding to national crises and other threats. We provide technical support and specialized resources to assist in maintaining systems; focusing on various aspects of the network. This includes operations and maintenance support; devising, developing and incorporating innovative technological approaches, designs; and updating of applications.   Duties and Responsibilities: - Technical Expertise: - Duties consisting of but not limited to ensuring proper computer operation. - This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end users help requests. - Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, hands-on help at the desktop level. - Utilizes software and hardware tools, identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance. - Maintains technical acuity with vendor products and provides recommendations that best support the client's critical missions. - Provide reliable and timely onsite and remote IT services for customers. - Supports the installation, operations and maintenance of end-user hardware and software. The End User Systems Specialist is a key member of DMI’s client and will be primarily responsible for supporting DMI customer’s end user technology environment and Customer Executive offices. This position is located at the DMI client office in Crownsville, MD. Therefore, exceptional Customer Service etiquette and skills are a must. The incumbent will directly support VIP staff and team members. This includes, but is not limited to, maintenance and management of company desktops, notebooks, mobile devices, printers, servers and other office equipment and related software. In addition, this individual will participate in the implementation of new hardware and software including the installation and configuration of Microsoft and Google applications on the end user computers. The client Executive Office is a flagship location, and various video conferencing platforms are heavily leveraged.   Duties include: - Planning, integration, and maintenance of software and hardware for local or wide area computer networks. You will be required to evaluate, select and adapt existing and emerging technologies to enhance the productivity and stability of the product. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different aspects of the product. Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.   Responsibilities: ● Design and implementation of applications for Android TV products ● Translate requirements, designs and wireframes into high quality code ● Design, build, test and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code ● Cross-functional team collaboration to design, define and ship new features   Required skill: ● 4-6 years of experience in developing complex, large-scale Android applications ● BE/BTech/MCA/ME/MTech/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience ● Excellent proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Android SDK and OOP concepts. ● Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices ● Good understanding of Android basics, like memory management, thread management, networking etc. ● Hands-on knowledge of supporting multiple versions of Android, screen resolutions and device types ● Effective communication and soft skills
