Primary Responsibilities: - Monitor network performance and integrity, addressing potential issues proactively with adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). - Respond to network incidents in a timely and effective manner, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. - Perform regular system checks, troubleshooting network hardware and software issues. - Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. - Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. - Design, configure and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software. - Provide on-call support for network issues that occur outside of regular office hours. - Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to identify opportunities for network optimization. - Participate in regular security audits and follow company protocols to address identified issues. - Document all actions taken during problem resolution in appropriate internal tracking systems. - Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of the network. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - At least 3 years of experience in a network operations role, preferably in a NOC environment. - Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS). - Solid background in network administration and architecture. - Proficient in network diagnostic and monitoring tools. - Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear manner. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Professional certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or similar are a plus. - Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) is preferred. Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. - Availability to work in shifts or provide after-hours support as needed.
